The Mouse Part 3: Conserve Your Clicks

Be conservative with your clicks and wait for the computer to do the task before clicking again.  The more random clicking you do in moments of frustration, the more frustrated you will get. Every single time you click on your mouse you are telling your computer to do something whether you know what you told it to do or not.

When you click on a link, there is often a visual indicator that the computer is thinking. Maybe the mouse icon changes, or there is a spinning circle somewhere on the screen, or a progress bar is filling.  Some computers are faster than others. If you have a slow computer, count to 10 before you even think about clicking a second time.  If you click on the same thing again, the computer starts all over. Sometimes waiting for the first command to finish, then doing it again for the second click.
