I was going through my news feed this morning and came across an article that listed the most used online programs for a certain demographic of which I cannot remember. I can’t even refind the article, which is uber-frustrating. Anyway, I was researching the ones I didn’t know and the only one that was interesting before I got distracted (easily done) was Trello.
Trello is project management system/to-do list. It is a board system and on each board is “To Do”, “Doing” and “Done”. In each of the sections you add cards which can be anything: a to-do list, a photo, a link, etc. Then you can share, add labels and move cards around.
Currently, I use a an old school method for my to-do list: a yellow legal pad and pen. This method is the only one that seems to have stuck around and that seems to keep me organized. I have tried all kinds of online programs, but none of them have worked. If it doesn’t end up on my written list, it doesn’t get done. The problem is I have to remember it everywhere I go, which isn’t always possible. It would be nice to have a place online.
I think there is some connection between the handwriting and getting the list done. Moving to a digital format won’t have the same feel, but it is worth a shot.
