Have you seen the toy called TROBO?
I am conflicted. Part of me thinks, “Yeah! Great idea. Let’s get our kids interested in science.” The other part of me says, “Isn’t this what parents are suppose to be doing? Why do we need a toy to do it?”
The more I think about it though, the more I kind of like it. Parents have so many things on their plates from education, nutrition, doctor appointments, letting them be kids, balance between helicopter and free range parenting, etc. Why not let a toy help with the science aspect? I would rather him learn about bees making honey than watching Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles while I make dinner. But then again he did just spend all day at day care learning, shouldn’t I give him a break?
